Ventura's No. 1 doubles team of Caua Coimbra and Abjadj Mondroha claimed the runner-up spot in the 3C2A State Championships Sunday at The Ojai Tournament. The pair won their semifinal match in the morning before falling in a close battle in the championship match in the afternoon at Libby Park in Ojai.
Ventura's doubles top doubles pair of Caua Coimbra and Abladj Mondroha extended their season Saturday with a solid 6-3, 6-3 win in the 3C2A State Championships quarterfinal round over a pair from Irvine Valley. Caua Coimbra, Abladj Mondroha , Ariitea Cotti-Helme and Peyrebonne were the other players with two victories Tuesday.

Yanis Guerrout and Ariitea Cotti-Helme won the No. 2 double smatch while Victor Peyrebonne, Abladj Mondroha and Manolo Vanbesien all recorded singles victories for the Pirates.
